Client and servers 

Client: Our client is a computer in the network that is connected with the server to access different resources. the client computer send request for services to the server and server computer provide the requested services to the client computer and computer is less powerful than server computer there are two types of client computer which are called thin client and thick clients a thin client is a type of client that rely on other powerful server for processing. Whereas client is a type of clients which is also called rich clients it is a computer that does not rely on other powerful servers for data processing and other tasks.

Server Computer Definition and Tasks

I is a computer that provides requested services to the client computers.It is the more powerful computers in the network and it performs following tasks which are:

  • Processing data
  • control devices and software programs
  • storage and allocation of resources
  • management of network traffic

Types of Servers

There are several types of servers for performing different tasks which are dedicated servers, print servers, database servers, Email servers and communication servers. Let discuss each type in detail below.
